Jack and Jill: Augusta Chapter Meeting

Augusta Chapter of Jack and Jill America meet monthly at the HUB West building. The Augusta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated was chartered in May 1970 by National President Mirian Shropshire. The charter group included 25 mothers. This group originally organized as the Augusta Mothers’ Club in January 1968 was sponsored by the Savannah Chapter. The organizers were Bernice Griffin, Margaret Jones, and Willarena Williams.

For more than 50 years, Augusta chapter mother members have established a foundation of culture, service and philanthropy for hundreds of children. From young ages, chapter children are exposed to activities and events that shape their minds while providing an array of experiences to create well rounded human beings. They also learn the values of helping those in need and creating a better existence for people throughout the community.
